A Callout for Heroes, with a Resounding Response

hero--A Callout for Heroes, with a Resounding Response

Heroes recently descended on Green Leaves Early Learning Support Office and centres nationwide as a call to arms to support our flood-affected communities in Southeast Queensland and New South Wales was issued.

To honour the true heroes of our communities, Green Leaves invited our families and team members to dress as their favourite heroes for a day for a small donation. We were reminded that not all heroes wear capes, as some were dressed as Brisbane’s famous Mud Army, a range of emergency workers, and closer to home, some dressed up in grey polo shirts and black bucket hats – the uniform of our much-loved Green Leaves Educators!   In true Green Leaves style, each centre organised a series of fun activities to engage our little heroes that reported for duty from our Nursery right through to our Kindy rooms.

We were humbled by the generosity and support of families who attend our early learning centres. The choice of charity was an easy one for us. At Green Leaves, we believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life, and Queensland-based charity, Baby Give Back, provides much-needed support to thousands of babies and children to ensure they receive essential items during their family’s time of need.

Green Leaves would like to thank each and every one of our families and team members for making this fundraising event a successful day.

To boost this support further, on behalf of the whole Green Leaves team, we have gladly matched the money raised with a donation of our own. We are proud to support Baby Give Back in its mission to continue to provide support to families across flood-affected communities.
