Collection notice – Waitlisted children and their parents and guardians

This collection notice describes how we, Green Leaves Early Learning Centres Pty Ltd ACN 602 270 440 and its holding company or subsidiaries (“Green Leaves”), collect and handle personal information of children who join a waitlist to attend Green Leaves Early Learning Centres (Centres) and their parents and guardians.

The types of personal information we collect about you and your child are set out in our enrolment form. Some of that personal information is sensitive information, such as health information and cultural background information. Where an item is indicated as optional, it is up to you whether you choose to provide an answer.

In addition to what is provided in the enrolment form, we may also consider information about your history of dealings with Green Leaves Centres from our records.

You may choose not to provide your personal information, however, this may impact our ability to determine if there is a position available at a Centre for your child. If you do not complete the enrolment form, we will not be able to add you to a Centre’s waitlist.

We use your personal information for the primary purpose of determining whether and when we can offer a position at a Centre for a waitlisted child.

Green Leaves may also use your personal information to:

• send marketing updates and surveys in accordance with marketing preferences; and
• de-identify that information (so it does not identify you or your child) so we can use it to better understand the types of families and children we work with and who are interested in our Centres.

Green Leaves does not typically disclose this personal information to third parties, except where permitted by law such as in limited circumstances to law enforcement agencies.

Green Leaves uses some IT systems in which some information is stored overseas. The countries in which information may be stored include the United States, Canada, South America, Denmark, Ireland, Singapore and Germany.

Otherwise, Green Leaves does not routinely disclose personal information to recipients located outside Australia.
